Dr. David Hollinger

David A. Hollinger is a Preston Hotchkis Professor Emeritus at the University of California Berkeley.  He specializes in the intellectual and ethno-racial history of the United States since the Civil War. His books include Postethnic America (1995) Science, Jews, and Secular Culture (1996), and After Cloven Tongues of Fire (2013). He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and has been a Guggenheim Fellow, a Fellow of the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences, a Member of the Institute for Advanced Study, and Harmsworth Professor of the University of Oxford. He is also a Past President (2010-2011) of the Organization of American Historians.
