Celebrate Yom Haatzmaut (Israeli Independence Day) by attending our screening of the brand-new feature length documentary, Above and Beyond.  The film is produced by Nancy Spielberg and directed by Roberta Grossman, with a score by Hans Zimmer.  This is the incredible story of a group of American Jewish soldiers who gained their fighting chops in World War II, and then came forward to help the fledgling State of Israel in 1948. They smuggled planes out of the U.S. and post-war Europe, trained secretly in Communist Czechoslovakia, and made an enormous difference in the outcome of Israel’s War of Independence, at great personal risk.  In the words of the film’s producers, Above and Beyond combines new interviews with “stunning aerial footage to present a fascinating, little-known tale filled with heart, heroism and high-flying chutzpah.”

Advance ticket sales will end at noon on Wednesday, April 22nd.

All tickets purchased in advance will be waiting in Will-Call.

After the film, please stay for our post-show discussion and reception.
