Tikvat Israel Congregation

Dates: Every Monday, November 03, 2014 - December 01, 2014
Time: 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Speaker: Rabbi Steven Glazer

Course taught by Rabbi Steven Glazer.

Advances in medical knowledge and technology have posed enormous challenges as to how Judaism views cradle-to-grave decisions. This series will examine such complex issues as artificial insemination, stem cell research, transplantation, abortion, and euthanasia from the perspective of Halakha, Jewish law, as interpreted by various authorities, ranging from traditional to liberal.  In each case, conflicting principles of Halakha, which impact the decision-making process, will be discussed and debated.  PLEASE NOTE:  There is no class on Monday, November 24th.
