Join us for a full-day bus trip to Philadelphia to explore the newly opened and much praised National Museum of American Jewish History, designed by James Polshek, the architect of the Newseum in Washington, DC.

Additional details:

  • Cost:  $95 per person, including bus, admission fee, museum docent for guided tour, and private dining area for lunch. Because of space limitations, each person may only make reservations for themselves and a guest (two person maximum).
  • Bus Pick-up:  9:15 am at Ohr Kodesh Synagogue in Chevy Chase, MD.
  • Cancellation Policy:  If you cancel after January 31, you will be charged the full amount unless we are able to resell your slot, in which event, you will be charged a $25.00 cancellation fee. If the bus company cancels because of weather conditions, you will receive a refund or may apply the amount to a subsequent trip.
  • Insurance and Liability:  The Foundation for Jewish Studies does not provide insurance coverage and does not assume any liability. We recommend that you secure your own travel/medical insurance for the duration of the trip.
  • Program:  David Epstein, a Vice President of the Foundation, will lead a discussion on significant moments in American Jewish history as well as involve participants in a discussion on the immigrant experience. Think about when the first member of your family came to America and anecdotes to share. Also, think about whom you consider noteworthy American Jews and why. DVDs on the general topic will be shown on the bus.
  • Food and Drink:  To keep costs down, the Foundation is not providing any food or drink. Please plan to bring your own lunch or purchase a kosher dairy box lunch prepared by the Museum.
