Interested in Jewish learning but not sure what to try? Heres a quick glance at the Foundations educational programs and what they offer.
Lunch & Learn Bible Series One of our most popular series, the Lunch & Learn study groups devote 4 weekly sessions to a specific book of the Bible or a topic that runs through more than one book. Classes are led by local rabbis and scholars, in three locations: Bethesda, Downtown Washington, and Northern Virginia. Bring a Bible and a brown bag dairy or pareve lunch. We supply the coffee and tea!
Community Lectures Come out on a weeknight to hear noted Judaics scholars from universities and research institutions around the world. Free to the public.
The Distinguished Scholar Series, brings fine scholars from around the world to our community for a single lecture each, open to the public, free of charge.
Weekend Study Retreats Come get away from the city and learn in a relaxed atmosphere with a community of students. Weekend study retreats are held on Labor Day, President’s Day, and Memorial Day weekends.
Bible Study Center The Bible Study Center of The Foundation for Jewish Studies and the Dennis & Phillip Ratner Museum offer study sessions at The Dennis & Phillip Ratner Museum in Bethesda, MD on Sunday mornings.
