The Foundation for Jewish Studies, an independent non-profit organization established in 1983 and supported by private contributions, is dedicated to fostering Jewish learning and building communities of educated and committed Jews who are conscious of, and faithful to, the high ideals of Judaism. The Foundation offers in-depth study programs for the adult Washington Jewish community that cross denominational lines.
The Foundation for Jewish Studies’ leadership includes Rabbi Joshua O. Haberman, Founder and Chairman of the Board, and the Foundation’s President, Officers, and Board of Directors. The professional staff is led by the Foundation’s Director, Dr. Lauren B. Strauss.
